These are 8 cards that you can print and use as class goals in your classroom. Choose one goal to work on per day. Clip the card to the whiteboard and remind the students of the goal throughout the day.
During my first year as a K teacher, I found myself searching high and low for morning work. For those days when I cannot find something cute that fits in with our "theme", I have created some morning work that you can use anytime throughout the year! For example, ask your kids to practice writing sight words on the word wall, copy the morning message, write a story, practice number writing, practice writing their names, etc. I am excited to use these next year!!! Next, we have a fun number-matching center that helps our kiddos with number identification, counting, and ten frames. Just print out the pages, laminate, and cut along the zig-zag/curvy lines.
Finally, I have made a clothespin letter-matching center to help our kids with letter sounds and beginning sounds in words. Print, laminate, and cut these boards in half. On 26 clothespins, write each letter of the alphabet. You can write uppercase letters or lowercase letters for a more challenging center. Students will clip the clothespin to the correct picture/letter.
